Megan is from Cary, North Carolina and grew up listening to Broadway musical soundtracks (especially Les Miserables) and fell in love with stringed instruments and how orchestral string arrangements enhance them. She has been studying and playing the violin for 15 years, starting with the Suzuki method in grade schools which led her to play in the pit for her middle school, high school, and college musicals. She also played in her high school orchestra where she served as concertmaster her junior and senior years. She has taught privately to children of all ages as well as mentored students in kids in her local elementary school Orchestra Club. She is currently pursuing her Art Studies with Music Concentration degree from North Carolina State University.
