Michael is an Apex native and has over 15 years of experience as a musician and teacher. His musical background spans bluegrass, funk, jazz, blues, and more, shaped by years of playing in a variety of settings including open mics, local businesses, and music festivals. He has a strong passion for fingerstyle guitar and ukulele, especially the Travis picking technique, which weaves melody and rhythm together and inspires much of his playing.

His experience across instruments and genres offers students a wide foundation and the chance to explore different musical directions. His work as a teacher reflects his dedication to music and to helping others explore their creativity and build a lifelong means of personal expression.

Michael teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, and piano.
